From photo to canvas
Send a phone photo. Get a painting.
Every portrait starts as an ordinary photo — usually a bad one, taken on a sofa, in poor light. That's fine. The work is in the translation, and that's my job, not yours.
Four steps, seven to fourteen days.

Claim a slot
Choose your size and take one of this month's commissions. The cap is real: when the twelve are gone, the month is closed.
-
Send one photo
Upload a reference photo at checkout. Daylight, eye level, no filter. If it won't work, you'll hear from me before I start — not after.
-

You see a photograph of the finished painting before it leaves the studio. Changes at this stage are free.

It ships
Signed, varnished, and framed if you asked for it. UK tracked delivery, 7–14 days from photo to doorstep.
A note on price
Why this isn't forty pounds.
Search “custom pet portrait” and most of what comes back is a print — your photo run through a filter or a template, printed to order, shipped from a warehouse. Those have their place. This isn't that. What you're paying for is the hours: one artist, one canvas, colour mixed and laid down by hand, and a month that only holds twelve of them. When it's finished, it's the only one there is.
The studio
One pair of hands.
[Artist name] paints every commission at the studio in [town]. No assistants, no outsourcing, no second studio somewhere cheaper. That's the reason the cap exists — twelve is what one person can paint properly in a month, and painting more would mean painting worse.
Before you commission
What if my photo isn't very good?
Most aren't, and most still work. Daylight and eye level matter far more than a good camera. Upload what you have — if it genuinely won't translate, I'll tell you before I start and you can send another.
Can I change it once it's painted?
You approve a photograph of the finished painting before it ships, and adjustments at that stage are free. Once you've approved it and it's posted, it's yours as it is.
Can you paint two pets in one portrait?
Yes. Choose the multi-pet option at checkout and upload a photo of each. Larger sizes work better for more than one.
Why can't I order right now?
Because the month is full. Each drop is capped and every painting starts the week it's bought. Join the waitlist and you'll hear when the next slots open.
Twelve slots, once a month.
They go quickly. Leave your email and you'll know the moment the next drop opens.
